How do you determine the team selection?
For a random team break we do our team selections using random.org. We load all of the participants up into one list and hit the randomize button 4 times. When then load all the teams in another list and hit the randomize button 4 times. The lists are then matched up to determine team selection.
For a draft break the draft order for round 1 is determined and we snake draft through the remaining rounds.
For a break where teams are purchased individually you will have the team that your purchased for that break.
We will allow a few moments before we begin the break for participants to trade teams. A trade must be confirmed by both participants to be valid. You are also allowed to trade for a team left out of the break if you would prefer them over the team you received.
Are all teams included in the break?
This varies for each break type. For a random team break we will usually remove a couple teams from the break that don’t have many hits. This makes it more fun for everyone. On occasion a product will be loaded with hits and we will include all teams.
On occasion we may do a divisional break. A divisional break means that each slot nets you a division instead of just a single team.
How do you handle traded player?
Cards are awarded based upon the team that the player is pictured in on the card. Often times we may bust product that is a couple years old and this allows for the fairest distribution of these cards. If a player is pictured in a team uniform but the card manufacturer has taken the time to change the team name on the card we will go off the team name on the card.
What do you do with cards from teams that were left out of the break?
These cards will be randomized to all participants. We will place everyone’s name in random.org and hit randomize 4 times. The cards will then be awarded based on that list; one to each slot based on the number of cards available.
Do you mail out the base for each team?
The answer to this question is yes and no. For those high end products without many base cards we will send out all the base. For products with a lot of base cards we will generally not send out the base due to a much higher postage cost. We will always send out all parallels and #’d cards.
What do you do with the base cards that you don’t send out?
We are currently working to try and donate these cards to a local Children’s Hospital. While these cards may be nothing but space fillers to you, they can bring great joy to a sick child.
What does my purchase include?
Your purchase includes a random team in the break. All of your teams cards (with the exception of base cards, see below) will be placed in top loaders and mailed to you in a bubble mailer.
Can I purchase multiple slots?
We do allow the purchasing of multiple slots. You will just need to update the quantity when you checkout.
